Statement

Regardless of medium, my sculpture is composed with both biologic and geological references in mind. The weathering processes of erosion and deposition by wind and water, or plant forms as altered by growth and environment are good examples of these. I explore the interaction of presence and absence, the austere and the sensual. My hope with this method is to approach the lyric timeless beauty of nature.
